Phuket airport welcomed first flight from three destinations

4 December 2009 – Phuket International Airport yesterday welcomed first flight of three new route from Medan-Kuala Lumpur-Phuket, Jakarta-Phuket and Melbourne-Phuket.

Phuket’s Vice Governor Tree Akaradecha, together with Phuket International Airport Pratuang Sonkam, and concerning officials, expressed a warm welcome to visitors at the airport.

Mr Prakit siad that TAT Singapore Office holds hand with AirAsia Indonesia, invited travel agents and media to visit Phuket with the first flight Jakarta-Phuket. According to the schedule, the visitors will travel to visit many attractions in Phuket and in the region between 3-6 December, 2009. Table Top Sales to be held on 4th December at Patong Resort Hotel, Phuket.

Besides Jakarta-Phuket, there were also AirAsia’s first direct flight from Medan, and Melbourne-Phuket first flight of V Australia landed.
