Phuket Airport to see increase in flights Phuket International Airport are starting to see an increase in the number of daily flights, which will continue to increase as the year goes on, with both low cost carriers and full-service airlines launching new flights and increasing existing frequencies.

On June 1st 2013, Malaysia Airlines introduction of one new daily service on flights from Kuala Lumpur to Phuket, increasing the number of weekly flights from Kuala Lumpur into Phuket to 26 per weekly.

On June 26th 2013, Spring Airlines, a Shanghai-based low cost carrier, will begin thrice-weekly flights from Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

Additional flights can be expected from October when on October 27th Aeroflot will bring forward its thrice-weekly seasonal service linking Moscow-Sheremetyevo and Phuket which previously began on Christmas Day.

THAI Smile will also be adding services with the Phuket- Delhi route running four times a week, up from twice-weekly. Phuket – Kuala Lumpur services will be increased four times a week to daily, while Phuket – Mumbai will run three times a week, up from twice a week.
