A comptroller of PBair (an airline based in Bangkok, operated scheduled domestic and international services), Mr. Songsak Phaktachai said PBair is to closed down from 21 December 2009 on.
The reason is because of the economy slump and there were no planes to operate services. Aircraft leasing is impossible since the company was continuously facing loss and cannot beat big competitors.
According to the law, reparations to 188 employees will be made. Executives will have a clarity with this by 7 days after the closure.
