Bangkok Air drops fares by 50%, but you’ve got to be quick

Bangkok Airways is discounting fares, effective yesterday, on domestic routes, but passengers must purchase them by 2 August.
The promotion sells one-way fares exclusive of airport taxes at Bt1,090 ex-Bangkok to Chiang Mai, Lampang, Sukhothai, Trat, Krabi, and Phuket.

Fare comparison websites focusing online sales for travel, 4 September, indicate Bangkok Airways sells a one-way fare between Bangkok and Chiang Mai at Bt2,250.

Both Thai Airways International and its subsidiary airline THAI Smile sell one-way fares at Bt2,485 although there is a THAI Smile flight selling at Bt2,535, slightly higher than its parent airline.

Bangkok Airways offers the identical fare on the route between U-Tapao and Phuket.

Passengers need to pay and book their flights by 2 August for a travel period 1 to 30 September this year.

September is traditionally a low month for travel throughout Thailand.
