The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), together with a broad range of industry alliance partners, will launch a seven month campaign to attract more transit tourists and stopover visitors to Bangkok. To be run under the brand name ‘Amazing Thailand Stopover’, the campaign will be launched at the ITB Berlin, to be held from March 9 – 13, 2011.
The campaign is designed to increase attraction of stopping over in Bangkok as a transit hub and help convert today’s stopover tourists into tomorrow’s extended stay tourists. It will also help enhance the awareness and exposure of mainstream global tourism campaign ‘Amazing Thailand Always Amazes You’.
TAT is finalising the details of the campaign with prospective alliance partners; such as, Thai Airways International, Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA), Thai Hotels Association (THA), Thailand Restaurant Association, Bangkok Metropolitan Administrative, Thailand Convention Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), the State Railway of Thailand, Airport Rail Link, and Bangkok Transit System (BTS).
