Phuket welcomes ‘Museum on Wheels’

“Muse Mobile” is a project started by Phuket Municipality, The Bureau of Knowledge, The National Museum Institute and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Mr.Suppakorn Punyarit, representative of the National Museum of Learning said that as many children and young people in some parts of Thailand don’t have the opportunity to learn, the ‘Muse Mobile’ or “Museum on Wheels” was introduced to create a new learning opportunity to all parts of the country.

Mr.Suppakorn added that the ‘Museum on Wheels’ will exhibit learning opportunities in many locations such as Udon Thani, Trang, Lumpang and more. Phuket is the ninth area in Southern Thailand and will be followed by Nakhon Phanom.

The museum is open to visitors for free at Sapan Hin, between 26 July -31 October 2012 from 10:00 to 18:00 am every Tuesday to Saturday (Closed Sunday and Monday).
