The Rotary Club of Patong Beach is holding a Golf Tournament and Golf Charity Ball dinner on 29 August 2010 at the new Latitudes conference facility in Laguna Phuket, across from Canal Village shopping center. All proceeds from this event will be used to help children in need, with the prime recipient being the Home & Life Foundation to support their work with underprivileged children. Rotary Club assures that every baht donated is used to help children and nothing is used for administrative expenses.
The Rotary Club of Patong Beach also asks if people would consider donating something they could use in the Auctions and Raffles they will hold that night. In the past, items like villa rental vouchers, hotel room and food vouchers, spa vouchers, boating or dive vouchers, and even company logo polo shirts have been given. Donations such as this are what allow them to raise the money needed to help the children. Current auction items are for everything from a villa in Bali to a Picasso print, so come prepared for exciting time bidding.
Tickets for non-Laguna Phuket Golf Club golfers are 3,500 baht each, and for LPGC members 2,500 baht each, both of which includes the golf fee, caddy and dinner with a welcome drink. Tips for caddy are extra. In case you are not a golfer, tickets to attend only the dinner are available for 600 baht. The dinner includes a welcome drink, wonderful Thai buffet catered by the Dusit Thani Laguna Resort, an evening of entertainment with Tiger the magician, dancing with the live music of Colin Hill, and of course golfing awards and auction. Hope to see you there!
