Phuket King’s Cup Regatta 2009 offically begins yesterday

30 November 2009 – The 23rd King’s Cup Regatta, an Asia’s important yacht-racing event officially opened yesterday evening. Phuket Vice Governor Tree Akaradecha, together with Royal Thai Navy delegate Vadm. Apiwat Srivardhana, and Yacht Racing Association delegates were honoured guests at the event.

Phuket King’s Cup Regatta was founded in 1987 to celebrate the 60th birthday of His Majesty the King of Thailand. The event will be held every year during the first week of December.
