Yesterday, 26th September 2012, at Sarakul Stadium, Mr.Pamuke Audchariyachai – President of Phuket FC, Mr.Jakapop Soongan – Director of Products and Souvenirs and Mr.Eam Thawonwhongwong – Phuket FC Technical Director announced the appointment of its new coach after the surprise resignation of “Coach Noi” Mr.Narong Ajarnyut. “Coach Joon” Mr.Anurak Srikerd has taken over the position and hopes that his appointment will raise the spirit of the players after last weekend’s shock 5-1 defeat to Saraburi.
“Coach Joon” Mr.Anurak Srikerd has a great record as former coach at Bangkok Glass, Buriram FC and Pattalung FC, as well as playing in the Thailand national team between 1998 and 2002.
Mr.Pamuke said “After the game at Saraburi, Coach Noi felt highly responsible for the loss and decided to resign from the team, which is a pity. At the game against Saraburi FC, our players were too eager to grab three points, and when they went down 1-0 at the beginning of the game they lost concentration and crashed. After the game I told everyone that game was over, and we have to move forward. The resignation of Coach Noi really shocked the players, they loved him like a brother and he was always friendly with them. I may call him back to the club in the future, in another position.”
Mr.Anurak “Coach Joon” said “I am very excited to be joining a famous team like Phuket FC. Although I have only been a coach three years, I have found a very good opportunity here at Phuket FC and I want to prove that I can work under pressure. Mr.Narong was committed and he left me with a great squad with powerful players. Now what I have to do is create a “team spirit”. I have looked at the schedule of the remaining games and I hope and believe we can get 15 points from these games.”
“Coach Joon” will start his appointment with a home game at Surakul Stadium against Sri Racha Suzuki FC this Sunday Sep 30th with kick off at 18:30.
