Muangthong United, one of the most famous soccer teams in the Thai League, is going to play a match with South China, a soccer team from Hong Kong, at Phuket’s Surakul Stadium on April 20th, 2010 in an Asian Football Confederation Cup group game.
The Siam Yamaha Stadium in Bangkok would have been used as the location for the match, but concerns about protests in Bangkok made South China request to change the location.
Ong-arj Korsinka or ‘Big Piak’, the Secretary-General to the Thailand Football Association, said that Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (PPAO) agreed to host the match between Muangthong United and South China on the mentioned date. The match begins at 18.30. Don’t forget to go there and cheer your favorite team.
