Forest trekking on the back of an elephant with Lucy

visit phuketLucy, a Swedish tourist

‘I always come to travel in Phuket. During winter, Swedish people choose to spend their holidays in a warmer country, like Thailand, and Phuket is one of their best choices. My friends and I like Phuket because the island has natural beauty and fun activities, especially elephant trekking. Sitting on the back of an elephant and letting it take us deep into the jungle is a very exciting and stunning experience. We experience different views which we’ve never seen while we were walking on the ground. This is the unique and charm of elephant forest trekking. All my words are not imagination, so try to do it yourself!’

Elephant forest trekking in Phuket

Elephants that can lead you along the natural ways are well trained so you don’t have to be afraid of them. Sitting on the back of them, you can not only see the green environment of Phuket jungles, but this also allows you to experience the outstanding lifestyle of the mahouts and their elephants. Apart from doing fun activities on the beach, this is another activity on the island that you shouldn’t miss.

Phuketindex.com’s comment

There are many entrepreneurs providing elephant trekking to tourists in Phuket. The average price ranks between 1000 – 1300 baht per adult and 500 -700 baht per child. The program takes 30 – 45 minutes.  The program is safe, however it is not suitable for elderly and little kids.
