“Surrounded by the Andaman Sea, Phuket has many beautiful sea views. However, the most stunning view of the sea in Phuket can be seen at Promthep Cape, especially the view at sunset. The moment of the sunset stops your breath as you are witnessing this beautiful natural phenomenon. Visiting Phuket, Promthep Cape is a place you should not miss.”
Promthep Cape is two kilometers from Rawai Beach. It is at the southern tip of Phuket. Apart from its well known name, Promthep, the cape is also known as ‘Laem Chao’ or the Cape of God. From the cape, you can see the panoramic view of the sea, sky and islands nearby the cape. On the right of the cape, there is a bird’s eye view of Nai Harn Beach. Walking down to the bottom of the cape gives you unforgettable scenery, especially during the sunset.
When it is almost 6 p.m., a lot of people head to Promthep Cape to experience the stunning sunset scenery where the big red sun moves down to the horizon on the Andaman Sea. It is hard to say how impressive that moment is. You have to come and see it by yourself.
Phuketindex.com invites everyone to visit Phuket and tell their story about visiting the island, like above, to others via the new column ‘Visit Phuket’ in our website. We welcome stories from everyone, tourists or residents. We hope that this would help to promote Phuket tourism and make more people come to spend their time on this beautiful island.
