“Beaches, beaches, and beaches…. It’s not surprising that I like the beaches. Actually, most people around the world like beaches; that’s why they spend their money to get a chance to experience the beaches of Phuket. Phuket’s beaches are like beautiful girls that are desired by men. My favorite beach is Nai Harn Beach. The stunning scenery and lots of activities there give me an unforgettable memory.”
Nai Harn Beach
Nai Harn Beach is located just north of Promthep Cape. The beach is quite long and has white sand. It is popular for sun bathing among foreign tourists and residents. There are restaurants and hotels situated along the road to beach and one along the beach line. Not far from this beach, there is another small beach & bay called Ao Sane (foreigners know it as Jungle Beach), where you can flash your eyes back to see the wind-mills and Nai Harn beach at a different angle.
It should be noted that the waves and sea currents at Nai Harn beach are not suitable for swimming, during the monsoon season; but as reader Amy says once the monsoon season is over, it is (usually) safe to swim at Nai Harn beach. It can be reached by different routes: 3 kilometers from Rawai, passing or not passing Promthep Cape, or 9 kilometers from Kata Beach.
