Cost of water in Phuket set to rise

Cost of water in Phuket set to rise Phuket City Mayor – Somjai Suwansupana has announced that as of 1st January 2014 Phuket municipality is set to raise the price of water, the first time in 13 years.

Prices are set to rise from between 4 and 13 baht per unit to 6.70 and 21.50 baht.

Ms Somjai advised that the increases are need to due to the rising cost of buying water from the private sector.
