Bangkok Hospital Phuket invited 125 nurses from all over the world to 2012 International Conference with the aim of improve nursing care and making sure it meets with international standards.
On April 25th, Dr Prayut Somprakit, CEO of Bangkok Eastern and Southern Hospital Group, presided at the 2012 International Conference on Trends in Emergency, Trauma and Disaster Nursing, which was held on April 25th-27th at King Carl Gustaf’s Conference room at Bangkok Hospital Phuket.
Dr Prayut explained, “Since the numbers of emergency, trauma, and disasters are rapidly increasing, nurses with experience are needed to provide first-aid to those who are injured. The 2012 International Conference will prepare our professionals in terms of emergency, trauma, and disaster nursing care and decision-making with training given by several experts.”
Dr Narongrit Havarungsi, Director of Bangkok Hospital Phuket, said “After the Tsunami in 2004 and One-Two-Go aircraft going off the runway in 2007, Faculty of Nursing, Prince of Songkla University see potential in our hospital and has collaborated with us on holding this conference so that nurses can come together to share experiences.”
