Dr.Phaijit Warachit, the Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Public Health, has said “8 doctors from Wachira Phuket Hospital were sent to set up temporary medical units in Khao Phanom Village, Krabi. The medical shelter is located in the Taam Kob Temple. The doctors are there to give first aid to flood victims. Victims with serious symptom are being sent to Phanom Hospital and other nearby hospitals.
In Phanom Hospital, there are 17 patients, 6 males and 11 females. 60% of them got muddy abrasions on their bodies. With these injuries they have a high risk of infection.
