Thalang Road will be the first road in Phuket without overhead cables in sight

22 November 2009 – Phuket City Deputy Mayor Tavorn Jirapattanasopon revealed the progression of moving the electrical and telecommunications cables into the ground that the project is now 70% complete.

The only work that left before the poles will be moved in the beginning of December, is to improve the road surface which is expected finish in 15 days.

This THB19 million project will be 100% complete in December.

Saying the Deputy Mayor, in the future the municipality has a plan to do the same with Yaowarach, Krabi, Dibuk, and Phang-nga for Phuket old town to be more picturesque.
