On May 27th 2010, at Waew Rawai Room, Metropole Phuket Hotel, Ms. Malalee Kongsala, ‘Small Medium Enterprises’ or SMEs Service and Cooperation Consultant, presided over the opening of training and an exhibition called ‘Southern SMEs Good and Service Value’ which was a part of the ‘Thai Kem Kang’ (Thai Strength to Strength) projects by the government of Thailand. Those present at the seminar were Ayuth Techasukit, the Director of Product Value Add and Design Center, Institute of SMEs Development and 200 SME entrepreneurs in Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi.
Ayuth said that this seminar and exhibition was the second held in the southern region; the first seminar had been held in Songkla province. In the seminar, there was training about economic and creative products to help add value to SMEs products and services.
While Malalee commented that to add vale to SMEs products and service, the entrepreneurs needed to be trained how to combine new innovations, creative thinking and local wisdom into their products or services. Therefore, this seminar was held to help and train them.
