PRD’s Museum & Archive met with TV and radio personnel in Phuket to improve PRD audiovisual and TV footage databases

phuketOfficials and experts from the government’s Public Relations Department’s (PRD) Museum and Archive, held a seminar and training course about audio and video archive for Radio Thailand and NBT television in Phuket.The session took place during January 10th -14th 2011 both at radio and television stations under the PRD’s arm. The session, which included discussion and practical sessions, aimed at having personnel familiarize themselves with proper and more systemized archives, both for broadcast and future reference.

The archive has been established for 10 years to collect audiovisual archives from radio and TV stations in Thailand. PRD had produced manuals explaining how to designate and to preserve the audiovisual material. After this, PRD will host the same conference in Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, and Hat Yai.
