Phuket Police still strict on pirated products trading

Pol. Maj. Gen. Pikad Tantipong, the Commander of Phuket Provincial Police, reported there were still a lot of pirated, fake or copyright violated product traders in Phuket. Phuket police together with the Ministry of Commercial affairs had been suppressing those people. He added that most of the fake products were sold in Patong so it was called the ‘Red Area’ of Copyright Violation. He therefore assigned his team to keep an eye on and arrest people selling those products.

The police had performed fake product suppression continuously. Recently, the police arrested and seized a lot of fake products sold in Patong Beach and Karon Beach. Those products were brand name fake watches, shoes, bags, glasses, VCDs, and DVDs. The products were worth over 10 million baht and would be destroyed later.
