Phuket police keep an eye on soccer gambling during World Cup 2010

Pol. Maj. Gen. Pikad Tantipong, the commander of Phuket Provincial Police, revealed that he had assigned the police to keep an eye on soccer gambling during World Cup 2010. Teenagers especially had to be strictly watched because they were easily convinced into bad ways.

He added that in Phuket there were 15 soccer gambling houses where he ordered his team to closely observe. The police were ready to arrest them once they had enough evidence.  Additionally, he mentioned that the strict watching by the police could reduce soccer gambling in Phuket during the World Cup 2010, as well as other crime cases.
