Phuket adjusts plan to help flood victims in southern Thailand

Niwit Aroonrat, a Vice Governor of Phuket, said that after Phuket had established its donation center to generate money and essential items which were sent to help flood victims in the northeastern and central parts of the country, the provincial government and related sectors plan to run the donation campaign again on November 6th to help more victims. The donation area would be in Phuket Merlin Hotel.

However, the southern parts of Thailand including Songkhla, especially in Hat Yai, Surat Thani, Nakhorn Sri Thammarat, Pattani and Trang, were recently seriously affected by the depression storm, so the Phuket provincial government consequently changed the former assistance plan. All donated items and money would be sent to the flood areas in the south first, because it was not too far from Phuket.

If you want to donate anything, please bring the items to Jamjuree Room, Phuket Merlin Hotel on November 6th at 1-5pm. Cash donations are welcome in the account name ‘Help Southern Flood Victims’, account number 805-0-39371-2, Krung Thai Bank (KTB), Phuket Branch.
