Phuket confirmed no Haj passengers stuck in the airport

Tri Akaradecha, the Governor of Phuket, presided over a blessing ceremony on October 18th for 278 Phuket and nearby provinces’ residents who were going to attend the Haj in Saudi Arabia by taking the flight TG 8532.

Pratuang Sornkham, the Director of Phuket International Airport, said that there were 600 Muslims from this airport going to attend the Haj this year. Some of them previously traveled to Saudi Arabia  by other airlines. However on October 17th-18th, there were more than 500 Muslims departing Phuket International Airport to attend the holy event. He confirmed that there were no Muslims stuck in the airport because all related sectors had worked hard to ensure a smooth operation. Moreover the airport had established special check in booths to make the check-in procedure more convenient to those Muslims.
