On 19th July 2012 at Srinagarindra the Princess Mother School Phuket, Mr.Thongdee Manissan – Vice President of Labour Committee Board held a seminar for the school’s students advising them of what preparations are required for Thailand & Phuket to be ready to join the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015. Mr.Somkiet Sankhawsutthirak – Deputy Governor of Phuket, Mr.Rewat Areerob – Phuket Representatives, Mr.Nachai Kemnipat School’s Director and involved departments were also in attendance.
Mr.Rewat said “In 2015, Thailand will join the ASEAN Economic Community, so we in Phuket have to prepare ourselves, especially students who need to better learn a second language, and this project will continue at Kathu Wittaya and Phuket Wittayalai”
Mr.Thongdee added “In 2015, the 10 ASEAN countries will join together as an ASEAN Economic Community, many things will change; free movement of labor, expanded investment opportunities, cultural exchanges, increased international travel routes and more tourism. This seminar is a great opportunity to prepare and adapt to keep pace with the changes.”
