Chinese investment group wants to invest in Phuket airport link

Phuket airport link

Phuket airport link On 28 August Wichai Praisa-ngob, the Governor of Phuket, and related officials and business people, discussed with Mr. Yuan Shan, the Managing Director of Pan-China Construction Group Co. Ltd, and company executivesabout the possibilities of this construction company getting the contract to construct the Phuket airport link, a light rail route linking Phuket International Airport and Phuket Town.

This company was really interested to invest in the airport link and other projects related to tourism in Phuket. Therefore it had studied and gathered information about Phuket in many aspects. The company was waiting for approval from the local and central government to let it be the contractor for the light rail construction. Once it had been approved to start the project, it would send its staff to survey, analyze, and design the project.

Wichai concluded that Phuket did not overlook the investment in such projects from foreign investment groups, however the province had assigned a committee to give the information and investment plans from foreign companies, who want to invest in projects in Phuket, over to the central government.

Wichai also added that apart from the Chinese company, there was a company from South Korea that was also interested to get the contract of the Patong tunnel construction project as well.
