On January 12th, at Phuket Provincial Hall, Tri Akaradecha, the Governor of Phuket, presided over the ceremony handover of Phuket 2011 New Year and Red Cross Festival’s 1st prize, a house worth 2 million baht. There were lots of related government officers attending the event. The lucky person who got the house was Athipon Wongmaha, a manager of The Blue Marine Resort and Spa.
Athipon said that he was really surprised and happy once he had been informed that he won the first prize. He then thanked the event organizers and promised that he would buy tickets again in the next festival. Meanwhile, Tri said that he was surprised that a lot of people were interested to join the lucky draw activity. He said that the total money generated from the event will be announced soon, but it had to be higher than last year. There were also some winners of other prizes, including cars, motorbikes TVs etc coming to get their prizes already.
The other winners who have not yet collected their prizes can go to Phuket Red Cross Office within February 28th 2011, otherwise the prize will remain the property of Phuket Red Cross.
