On June 3rd 2010, Teerayuth Aiumtrakul, a Vice Governor of Phuket, presided over a workshop to look out for and solve unqualified orthodontic problems in Phuket. There were lots of teachers and students in Phuket attending the workshop.
Teerayuth said that the workshop was held to help teenagers in Phuket understand how unsafe unqualified or illegal orthodontic treatment was. He mentioned that wrong methods of illegal orthodontic treatment could make people die by infection and the Office of Consumers Protection Board or OCPB was very concerned about this.
Teerayuth further commented that parents and teachers had to look out for online unsuitable dietary supplement purchases by teenagers as well, since there were many teenagers dying due to fake dietary supplements they had bought on the internet.
