Minister of Science and Technology insists the government will leave no man behind

Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich gave talks about the government policies while visiting Phuket during Por Tor Festival.

The coalition government of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva supports 500 bath each month for elderly persons (more than 60 years old) since April this year and the policy will be carried on though other governments come up instead as it has been put into the law already.

Besides a policy of 15 years free schooling, government has a plan to push social security to cover husband, wife or children in the future. Village health volunteers are rewarded with 600 baht a month for their contribution to sanitation and public health services in communities.

“The welfare projects will continue. This includes 5 measures to reduce people cost of living covering train fair, bus fair, patrol price, electric bill, and water bill also,” revealed the Minister.
