Maikhao SAO gets itself prepared for a Tsunami commemorative event tomorrow

Phuket is getting prepared for the 5th year Tsunami memorials. Officials from Mai Khao SAO approached the Mai Khao cemetery for landscaping and repainting the Tsunami Wall of Remembrance.The commemorative event will be held tomorrow (26 Dec) in the morning.

CEO of Phuket Provincial Administration Organization (PPAO) Mr. Paiboon Upattising revealed he is now discussing with Mai Khao SAO to build up a permanent Tsunami memorial at the Mai Khao cemetery for families and friends of the victims to visit anytime of the year.

Tsunami commemorative events will also taken place at Patong beach in the morning and in the evening under the name “Light Up Phuket”. Chumpol Silapa-archa, Minister of Tourism and Sports will preside over the ceremony.

The officials have entered Kamala beach to prepare the location for another ceremony on Saturday as well.
