Deputy Prime Minister made aerial survey to see encroached mangrove forests in Phuket

On September 24th, Major General Sanan Khajornprasart, a Deputy Prime Minister, visited Phuket to see encroached mangrove forests on the island. The deputy prime minister took a helicopter ride to specifically  survey the area of Koh Pee Road, a new road expected to solve traffic problems between Sakdidet Road and Sapan Hin Area, near Chalermphrakiat School.

The deputy minister also listened to comments and opinions about the road construction from local residents, community leaders, and related government organizations. The road construction was almost complete, as there was only 600 meters left which was to be constructed through the area of Koh Pee mangrove forest. Now, they are waiting for ministerial approval.
