Phuket Vice Governor – Sommai Preechasil was in attendance at the conference.
Dr. Rangsan said “The International Buffalo Federation (IBF) has chosen Phuket to host the 10th World Buffalo Congress from 6th – 8th May 2013 at the Hilton Arcadia Phuket. This will be a good event for anyone who has a strong passion about buffaloes; with presentations in various aspects ranging from physiology to socioeconomic. There will be over 500 attendees coming from 35 countries.
“IBF decided to choose Phuket as the host of the event because it’s a city with popular attractions, also because Phuket was originally part of the agricultural sector and likes to conserve its agricultural past and pass it from generation to generation. The Buffalo Congress will help create awareness about the importance of the buffalo and how society can benefit from their existence.”
