Phuket price check ahead of Chinese New Year On 4th February 2013 at Phuket Agricultural Market, Phuket Governor – Mr.Maitree Inthusut together with Phuket Vice Governor – Mr.Somkiet Sangkhaosuthirak, Head of Phuket Office – Mr.Prajead Auksornthammakul, Deputy Mayor of Phuket – Mr.Kosol Thang Uthai, Head of the Department of Commerce, Head of the Department of Internal Trade, and officials from the Phuket City Municipality carried out a price check on arrange of products ahead of the coming Chinese New Year.

Mr.Maitree said “Today we have been out to check the price of products such as chicken, pork and vegetables today. Our findings are that the prices have not increased and are the same as usual.  The price of chicken remains the same at 85 baht per kilogram, while pork is the same too.  With regards to vegetables, they appear to be fresh and clean, and the price is reasonable. Today has also been a chance for us to inspect the hygiene of the market too, and we are satisfied with this.”
