Phuket has adequate water for high season

Phuket has adequate water for high seasonPhuket Provincial Waterworks Authority has recently confirmed that the island has adequate water for the high season.

Mr.Pisak Cholayut of the Authority said “Every year during the high season there is s dramatic increase in the island’s water demand; this is in addition to the fact that it’s the dry season. Many agencies and organizations have great concerned if there is adequate water to meet the demand. We are proud to be able to assure those with concerns that there is sufficient water this year. The reservoir located at Bangwad, Kathu has been kept full with 7.3 million cubic meters of water, and the reservoir at Bangnewdam, Thalang also has roughly the same amount.”

Phuket Provincial Waterworks Authority is currently in the process of constructing a new reservoir at Klong Kratha, Chalong, which is now more than 50% complete. The project will increase the water supply to the areas of amount of water Chalong, Rawai and Karon.
