Aroon Soros, the Mayor of Rawai Municipality in Phuket, reported that the municipality had followed up the Sugar Palm Planting Project in Promthep Cape. He said that the municipality was waiting for budget approval from the municipality board. It was previously hoped that the project could be started this year. Yet the decreasing amount of tax excise received in Rawai area has delayed the project, since there was not enough money to begin the project that could cost 20 million baht.
Anyway, Aroon assured that as soon as the municipality got the budget, the project would be started to add more Sugar Palm trees and make Cape Promthep area clean and green.
Question for readers: Is it worth spending 20 million baht on more trees?
