Earth Hour in Phuket

On March 15th, 2010, at the conference room of Phuket Provincial Hall, Teerayuth Aiumtrakul, a Vice Governor of Phuket, presided over a meeting to discuss about preparation and publicizing the Earth Hour 2010 project in Phuket which will take place on March 27th, 2010. The project’s purpose is to make people realize about energy saving and global warming.

On that day, people are encouraged to switch off their lights in their houses for 1 hour from 8.30 p.m. – 9.30 p.m. to reduce power use. In Phuket the center of activity will be in Patong Beach. Apart from Phuket, there will be eight other provinces in Thailand holding the same activity.
