Phuket’s Regent donates to remote community in Koh Lone

Phuket’s Regent donates to remote community in Koh LoneRegent Phuket Cape Panwa, the most attractive and personable resort in Panwa Bay, made a donation of supplies, food, camping equipment, stationery, toys and educational games to a school on Koh Lone. The remote island south of Cape Panwa is home to a small community of fishermen and agricultural families, and has a single school, mosque and medical facility. Brice Borin, General Manager of Regent Phuket, participated in the Phuket Semi-marathon 2012 in June, from which a total of 20,870 Baht was raised. The money funded the purchase of these much-needed supplies for the school.

Brice Borin, General Manager of Regent Phuket Cape Panwa and organiser of the trip, said, “We are very grateful to have the opportunity to contribute and pledge our support to Koh Lone Island and the families who live there. It was our pleasure to re-visit our friends on the island and bring them good food, fun games, toys and lots of smiles.”
