Mr.Samma Keetasin, Director of Government Housing Bank Real Estate’s Data Center, has revealed that a recent survey of residential projects in Phuket shows that there is currently approximately 23,340 units available, made up by 9,940 house units, 6,970 condominium units, 1,280 bungalows, 720 National Housing Authority house units and 4,430 National Housing Authority condominium units.
Mr.Suriya Wannabuth – Senior Vice President, Marketing and Project Management Sansiri Public Limited Company said “Phuket’s economy is not influenced by Thailand’s economic situation. However, it is influenced by the world economy and tourism. Phuket can be a stand-alone province. There are a large number of people coming to work in Phuket and there is now a big demand for housing for two groups of people, locals and other residents. Condos are now becoming a more popular choice, and these are required in the 1 million baht price range with living areas of 25-35sqm.
