On May 11th, 2010, at Novotel Phuket Resort Patong Beach Hotel, representatives of Kasikorn Thai Bank or K Bank, including Vasin Vanichvoranun – Executive Vice President; Tawich Tanachanan – Assistant to Managing Director and Patcharee U Thairattanakit – Director of Customer Relations Department, signed a contract to lend 1,500 million baht of capital to Bayshore Wing Development Co. Ltd, in order to construct a new hotel for the company, to be named Novotel Phuket Dahlia in Patong.
Vasin from K Bank said that the bank agreed to support the project, since they believed in the business potential of Phuket, which was one of the important tourism destinations of Thailand. Even though the island’s tourism had been affected by the world economic crisis and political conflict in Thailand, he expressed confidence that the tourism situation in Phuket would recover in the short term.
Meanwhile Pobchai, one of the executives of Bayshore Wing Co. Ltd, told us that Novotel Phuket Dahlia Hotel would be a 4 star hotel with 305 rooms constructed at the same location of Patong Bayshore Hotel on Rat U Tit – 200 Year Road. It’s estimated that hotel would be completed in 2011-2012 with a total budget of 1,500 million baht.
