Showcased Royal Thai cuisine at ‘Thai Food and Cultural Festival’

Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket participated in ‘Thai Food and Cultural Festival’ in Bangladesh to showcase the royal Thai cuisine on a world stage. By attending this seven-day fair, Mr. Vichan Pachararoongroj and Mr. Boonram Kamchuy, two chefs from Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket surprised all guests with the secret of Thai cuisine at Radisson Water Garden Hotel Dhaka in Bangladesh from 12 – 18 July 2010.

“We were honoured to be invited as a representative of Dusit International to present the unique Thai cuisine and hospitality to another part of the world. Each cuisine was designed with creativity and inspiration by our well-known chefs. Additionally, encouraging our staff to perform and show their talent is one of our priorities. We have been very supportive to our staff in developing their skills and promoting the Thai hospitality and cuisine to different countries around the world,” said Mr. Peter Komposch, General Manager of Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket.

Organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka, and Thai Airways International, all visitors at ‘Thai Food and Cultural Festival’ enjoyed the experience of the sophisticated and authentic Thai food together with live performances by professional Thai dancers. The highlight menus created by Ruen Thai restaurant’s chefs from Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket included Nam Prik Goong Siab (Phuket style dipping sauce served with boiled and fresh vegetables), Tom Yam Goong (traditional sour and spicy soup with prawns), and Tom Kha Gai (coconut soup with chicken and galangal).

These special menus are now available at Ruen Thai restaurant – an authentic Thai restaurant of Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket. For more information, visit http://dusitthanilagunaphuket.dusit.com or contact tel: +66 (0) 76362999
