On September 4th 2010, Paiboon Upattising, the President of Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization or PPAO, presided over the grand opening of Central Festival Phuket’s 6th year anniversary event. The event was crowded with the department store’s executives, honorable guests, and customers.
The celebrating began with a ‘Tropical Forest Fashion Show’ from leading Thai models and members of Central Bandit Noi Kid Club. This fashion show aimed to present the color of nature that was compatible with human living.
Wilaiporn Pitimana-aree, the department store’s Marketing Director, said that this 6th year anniversary event was held to respond to the good support that Central Festival Phuket always got from customers. The department store held the campaign called ‘Central Festival Phuket 6th Anniversary Celebrate’ presenting special prizes including 3 day 2 night Singapore tour package, 6 Suzuki Jelato motorbikes, and others. The prizes were worth a total of 600,000 baht.
Wilaiporn added that the department store also continued promoting its ‘Save Phuket Save Our Planet’. The project had been encouraging the department store’s customers to replant mangroves and to avoid using plastic bags for four years. To promote Thai local art and crafts, the department store joined hands with The SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (Public Organization) – SACICT to hold Thailand Arts and Crafts Fair in Phuket during September 2nd-8th 2010.
