Angsana Laguna Phuket has announced a new appointment for the position of Director Food & Beverage. In his new role, Mr. Sree Valsan will be overseeing the six restaurants and bars at Angsana Laguna Phuket.
Mr. Valsan reports to Mr. Jerry John, the General Manager of Angsana Laguna Phuket and oversees all the food and beverage establishments at Angsana Laguna Phuket. These include Loy Krathong Bar – contemporary Asian Tapas, Bodega & Grill - Mediterranean Steak House, Poolside – cool refreshments and Thai & Western cuisine, Market Place – Extensive buffet breakfast, Baan Talay – Thai & Seafood restaurant, and Canal Bakery – café dining and deli delights. In addition to the restaurants, Mr. Valsan is fully responsible for the management of the resort’s catering and banquet operations.
Prior to joining Angsana Laguna Phuket, Mr. Valsan, spent over 25 years in some of the world’s finest resorts and restaurants. He started off his career in 1988 as a Hotel Operations Trainee with The Krishna Oberoi Hyderabad. Among the other hotels he worked for include Hotel Bhaskara Palace Ashok, Hyderabad, Taj Connemara, Chennai and Holiday Inn Hyderabad. His last postion was the Area Food & Beverage Director of Laguna Bintan. He oversaw the financial management, planning, human resources, product design and marketing of the F&B operations in Banyan Tree Bintan, Angsana Bintan and Laguna Bintan Golf Club. Mr. Valsan’s extensive background in the hospitality world provides him with a well-rounded perspective of the industry that will seamlessly integrate into his current role.
