Starting from 17 December 2010, AirAsia will add a new route from Phuket-Bali four times per week. Flights will take-off from Thai AirAsia’s Phuket hub, while more Australian travelers are expected in Phuket as a result of this expansion.
According to Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia, “Our Phuket hub has increasingly become an important connecting point for many travelers around the world. We have decided to add a new route from Phuket to Bali in order to make travel more convenient for everyone and to stimulate tourism revenue and the local economy in Phuket. The Phuket-Bali route is an interesting and challenging one since both these destinations have many similarities and things in common. They both attract beach lovers and paradise seekers. On the other hand, both these destinations are also travel hubs that offer excellent connectivity to other parts of the world. By connecting two main travel hubs together, this will inevitably make travel easier for everyone.”
“We aim to target long stay travelers and to offer them low fares to explore other destinations during their vacation. Thailand is looking forward to more Australian travelers as a result of this new connectivity”, says the Thai CEO.
AirAsia’s special promotional price for the new route starts at THB 1,490 per way and is inclusive of airport tax. Tickets can be booked on www.airasia.com from 8-14 November 2010 for travel during 17 December 2010-10 November 2011. For more information, please see below for flight details.
